Our Animal-Free Egg White Powder is a true game-changer, designed to seamlessly replace traditional egg whites in a vast array of recipes. It is made using precision fermentation to be bio-equivalent to the protein found in egg whites, allowing it to whip, bind, and leaven with incredible performance.
In baking, it creates a strong, stable foam for flawlessly light and airy angel food cakes, chiffon cakes, and crisp meringues. For savory dishes like these frittata cups, it provides the perfect set and a satisfying, protein-rich texture. Its consistent and reliable results make it an indispensable pantry staple, empowering home cooks to unlock countless classic recipes without any compromise on taste or texture.
Ingredients
120 g Animal-Free Egg White Powder
2–2.25 cups water
Your favorite mix-ins (e.g., diced vegetables, vegan cheese, fresh herbs)
Seasonings of your choice (e.g., black salt, pepper, garlic powder)
Optional: A small amount of oil to enhance flavor and texture
Optional: Non-stick spray or silicone muffin liners for easy removal
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, whisk the animal-free egg white powder and water together until the mixture is completely smooth.
Stir in your desired mix-ins and seasonings.
Prepare your muffin tin by lightly oiling the cups or using non-stick spray or silicone liners. For a different format, you can use a baking dish to create a 'sheet pan' style frittata.
Divide the mixture evenly among 24 standard-sized muffin cups.
Bake for 25–35 minutes, or until the center of the cups is firm and set. Please note that baking time may vary depending on your oven.
Allow the frittata cups to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Recipe Note
Storage: Store the frittata cups in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. They can also be frozen for longer storage.
Reheating: Reheat in the microwave or an air fryer until warm.
